Founded in South Africa, out of a concerned need to attend to the Collective, generational and Individual traumas faced by people from all backgrounds. Zinza seeks to inspire balance and open communication about Trauma, through dialogue and through the collaboration of different practitioners within the mental and somatic wellness space. Through Zinza, practitioners provide individual and group session, in person and online.

Keitu Gwangwa

Being a Trauma Release Facilitator and Sangoma, Keitu is most likely to be found in conversations about Africa's Cultural and Spiritual Evolution. Exploring, in some way, a future that resonates closer to who Africans are and want to become.

"I'm always exploring, questioning and sifting through different identities deciphering what strengthens us and what weakens us, seeking what should stay and what should be thrown away. I'd say I'm an evolutionist, and this is this life's work.”

Trauma Release

Exercises

Trauma Release Exercises (TRE) is a technique developed by Dr. David Berceli, which intends to help individuals release tension and stress stored in their bodies as a result of traumatic experiences.

The underlying concept of TRE is that trauma, whether physical or emotional, can result in the body's natural stress and tension responses becoming locked into the muscles and nervous system. This can lead to chronic pain, anxiety, and a range of physical and emotional issues.

For those seeking a deeper experience of self, this is an unravelling yet grounding process. A revival of the Body’s own natural mechanism for stress, anxiety and trauma relief.
